Streusel toppings are a delicious gift from the Germanic people. They are sweet, buttery, and add texture to many baked desserts. This recipe can be used as a topping for muffins, nut breads, and coffee cakes. It can also be used to make fruit crisps. 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed Place the flour, brown sugar and cinnamon in the work bowl of a food processor and pulse a few times to evenly blend the ingredients. Add the butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Empty the mixture from the work bowl into a mixing bowl and add the chopped nuts, stirring to combine.
