Sweetened Whipped Cream Makes about 1 cup I prefer to make whipped cream with a handheld mixer rather than a stand mixer, because the cream whips quickly, and you will be less likely to over beat it that way. You can whip the cream a few hours ahead, cover it and place it in the fridge. If you like, you can add a tablespoon or so of your favorite liqueur, or a few drops of vanilla extract. 1/2 pint (1 cup) heavy cream
