My friend, Aliza Green, chef-author, is a Philadelphia legend. Her site has sensuous, interesting recipes. You’ll also get to see a list of all of her excellent cookbooks. I recommend you buy one---you won’t regret it. You can also find her books at amazon.com. Click here to see Aliza’'s books. Keller’'s Creamery Keller's makes the finest butter I have used. I especially like their Plugra European style butter. They have great recipes and cooking and baking tips on the site. (You can also see a video of me and request their electronic Holiday Cookies brochure which features my recipes.) Carole Walter If you love to bake, you should check out Carole Walter's books. Carol has been writing books for many years. They are well written, with delicious recipes. Check them out here. Home Baking Association Teachers --- HBA offers lesson plans that revolve around baking. Kids of all ages can learn excellent skills when they bake. It promotes a community feeling in the classroom as they bake together, and they feel great about themselves when they see that they can succeed. Chef2Chef foodies You can get cooking and baking tips and great recipes on this fun and informative site. Joy Rotondi, the Director of Foodies, weaves her great sense of humor into every part of the web site. She and her colleagues also provide excellent web site development and service. PrairieOrchid For great kid-friendly recipes, kid-size utensils, and fun baking activities, visit prairieorchid.com. Coopermarket If you live in the Philadelphia area, it's worth a trip to the Coopermarket in Bala Cynwyd to taste their fresh, seasonally respectful, and exceptionally delicious take out foods. They also offer excellent full service catering for your special events. Haley's Corkers I use Haley's corkers for all of my open wine bottles, oils, vinegars, and many other liquids. They are made of surgical rubber, and are food safe and reusable. You can get them at Crate and Barrel or Sur La Table stores, or through their website. Alison at Blue Bell Award-winning chef and friend Alison Barshak creates some of the best food in America at her sophisticated bistro in Blue Bell, PA. Her contemporary American cuisine, emphasizing seafood with Mediterranean, Southwestern, and Asian influences, draws people from all over the region, as well as from New York. She is refreshingly casual and caring with her customers, providing a personal, satisfying experience. |
